In this course I learned about personal, organizational and social values present in ethical dilemmas. I developed skills in ethical communication and decision-making which empowered me to assess how to act for the common good as leaders who can acknowledge and consider multiple ethical perspectives.
I appreciated the opportunity to articulate personal values, world views and organizational values. I believe my decision making is more informed by social justice concepts and communication that is applied to leadership ethics now, both independently and collaboratively.
I chose to include as the artifact a paper, “Ethical Dilemma: Do we Stay or Do we Go? “ about an ethical dilemma of trying to decide if my husband and I were going to choose to leave the military and move. I chose those because it shows how these ethical systems are so translational in the way they can address high level ethical conflict as well as personal decisions about how to apply one’s values.
