Storytelling and leadership go hand and hand. This was probably my favorite course and helped me focus my interest in story as a central and powerful tool to lead. I was able to understand aspects of narrative better and how story impacts both our personal and collective narratives. I was able to practice the craft of storytelling and be exposed to some excellent examples of story. I was moved by the storytelling of great leaders using narrative to change hearts and minds for the good. I gained experience and exposure in understanding how story impacts both the conscious and the unconscious through themes, metaphors, symbols and concepts.
I am including as my artifact a story I wrote about called “Shine: Stepping out of the Shadow and into Authenticity as the Wife of a Widower”.
